The image of a girl bathed in blood, wandering aimlessly, as if awakened from a nightmare, had always haunted me. Childhood as the natural land of dreams, was a place I knew very well, perhaps because I spent a lot of time on it. And I suppose that the union of these two concepts is what makes this short, the need to shoot a children's story in a hostile and violent context. I never had the feeling of knowing exactly what we were doing, but something told me we had to go all the way. Besides I had a lot of friends without whom It would never have been possible to shoot and some actors committed to the cause, Leyenda permitted me to work with one of the most sensitive and special persons I have ever met, Zoe Stein.
